Schools & Universities!

American School & University Magazine (www.SchoolDesigns.com) in their August 2007 issue has awarded SHW Group, LLP a Gold Citation Award for the architectural design of Manvel High School. KMD Hospitality designed the cafeteria and serving line. Notice the second photograph in the article showing the cafeteria. Below, on this page are design drawings and photographs of the cafeteria after installation. There are six original concept designs showing exciting and vibrant colors that flow from one serving area to the next.

These three designs are for a new high school being built in Alvin Texas. The first is a concept area serving pasta/pizza called "2 TomatoesTM". The cafeteria is large, having multiple serving areas and the atmosphere is similar to a food court.

The second is a juice/coffee bar called the "Oasis". What is great about this is that it is open not only during the day but also when the kids are eating breakfast.

The colors and designs are consistent even though each station has it's own personality.

"Cha Cha" represents a Mexican/Texmex concept that is colorful and fun.
